2008 Sustainable Burials discussion paper
Sydney is running out of burial space.The NSW Department of Lands is currently asking for submissions on various grave matters including Sustainable Burials in the Sydney Area. These are due in by 30 June 2008
There is a discussion paper which sets out the recommendations and options from the Funeral Industry Inquiry 2005.
This is your chance to be informed on what is happening and what you can do for the future.
It is interesting reading, especially option 13.
For the government to give in principle support to proposals to establish a cemetery for 'green burial'.
